Every vehicle inspection photo is analysed by Verion's AI damage model. Damage is recorded when it happens, helping prevent disputes later. Plus vehicle records, HMRC and DVLA validation, and maintenance scheduling, all included.

From last-mile parcel vans to Amazon Freight Partner lorries, Verion gives you a single live view of your fleet, with the AI work happening quietly in the background of every check-in.

Custom vehicle checks

Create custom checklists, images and questions. Every submission is saved to the vehicle record.

Vehicle records

Usage, history, contract assignments, current driver, maintenance log, all in one record per vehicle. Searchable and exportable.

HMRC + DVLA validation

Live MOT and road tax status per vehicle. Insurance certificate parsing with automatic renewal tracking.

AI damage detection

Every check-in photo runs through our model. Detects dents, scratches and broken parts with confidence scoring. Flags get a review board, not a missed invoice.

Damage review dashboard

Approve, reject, attribute or escalate damage flags from one screen. Each flag carries the photo, the model confidence, the date, and the responsible driver.

Maintenance scheduling

Service intervals tracked per vehicle. Bookings logged, costs attributed, downtime reported. Predictive nudges based on mileage and usage patterns.

Run Amazon DSP parcel vans, Amazon Freight Partner (AFP) lorries, or both. Verion handles onboarding, compliance, payments and damage on one platform, with a single driver record and audit trail across every vehicle class.

Confirm or reject every AI finding in seconds.

This is the exact screen your managers use. The model flags damage on every check-in photo, scores its confidence, and hands you a clean approve, reject or merge decision. No spreadsheets, no disputes a month later.

Every time a driver checks a vehicle in or out, they take a set of photos. Standard practice. The difference is what happens to those photos.

Verion's model scans each photo against a library of known damage patterns. It draws bounding boxes around suspected damage, scores the confidence (0-100%) and classifies it as a dent, scratch or broken part. Anything above your threshold becomes a damage flag in the review dashboard.

The model improves over time on your fleet. The more photos it sees from your specific vehicles and contracts, the more accurate its detections become.

  • Three detection classes: dent, scratch, broken part
  • Bounding-box visualisations for every flag
  • Confidence scored per flag, up to 95.7% on clear damage
  • Trained on UK delivery vehicles, fine-tunes per fleet
  • ~1.43-second average latency, no human in the loop

If a vehicle goes out with un-logged damage, the driver who checks it in next can claim it pre-existed. If the contract holder finds damage at end-of-rotation, you carry the cost. Most operators lose £400 to £1,200 per vehicle per year to damage attribution disputes.

AI damage detection turns the pre-shift photo, which you are taking anyway, into a tamper-evident record. Disputes drop. Insurance claims become easier. Drivers feel fairly treated because the evidence is right there, with timestamps.

  • Fewer disputed damage charges from contract holders
  • Faster insurance claims with photographic evidence
  • Drivers held accountable to a clear standard
  • Vehicle resale values protected by clean records

Still have questions?Talk to the our team
  • Is the AI damage detection actually free?

Yes. The full fleet management module, including AI damage detection, is part of the free Verion platform. There are no per-photo fees, no per-vehicle fees and no usage caps on the operator side. Operators pay nothing.

  • Where is the AI model trained and where do my photos go?

The model is trained on a labelled dataset of UK delivery vehicle photos. Your fleet's photos are used only to fine-tune detection accuracy on your specific vehicles, never shared with other operators or used for marketing material.

  • What if the model misses damage or flags something that is not damage?

False negatives and false positives are part of any ML system. The damage review dashboard lets you approve, reject or attribute every flag, and rejections feed back into the model to reduce future false positives on your fleet.

  • Can drivers check vehicles in from the app?

Yes. Drivers complete structured check-in and check-out flows from the Verion mobile app, including the photo set that feeds AI damage detection. Every handover stays attributed, timestamped and tied to the vehicle record.

  • Can I use AI damage detection on a single vehicle to test it?

Yes. Add one vehicle, capture a check-in, see the result. The free plan has no minimums, so you can pilot with a single van before rolling out across the fleet.
